Over the past few weeks, we’ve been accepting applications, for our Inclusive Startup Day : Pitch Competition ,our annual competition to highlight & showcase the diversity of ideas created by or targeted to the African Diaspora & Minority Market.
We asked startups to tell us all about their idea, product and why they should be selected to pitch. And though we received some very cool applications, we got one from a company that builds bikes from bamboo, at the end of the day, we are really excited about the innovation happening in this space.
We’ve narrowed the applicants to 7 finalists who will get to pitch for the winning prize on May 26th. To determine the winners, we will be asking our judges to decide. The three companies with the most votes will be announced LIVE on stage at Unity Ball Gala on May 27th.
During the event, we’ll also announce the first company who will get to present briefly to the audience and guest of the Unity Ball Gala.
To recap: 7 companies will pitch, and three winners decided by our judges. All winners will be announced at Unity Ball Gala on May 27th.
