Heather brings experience in social enterprise management and impact investing to the I/O SPACES Team and Community

Two years ago, Heather signed up to I/O SPACES as a member. At the time, when she joined, she shared she needed a place to get work done, which was walkable from her home. Having been a member with us for the past 2 years, Heather brings in her first-hand customer experience and is so well positioned to curate the I/O SPACES Silver Spring community.

As the founder of Globally Social, a company which offers tailored services to fit the needs of small and growing businesses in the US and Africa, She led the development of a management and entrepreneurship curriculum for a franchise of East Africa-based health clinics, Business plan creation for seed-stage African startups, Social media support for global Venture Capitalist focused on African tech startups in the growth stage.

Heather during her time as an associate at BizCorps in Nairobi Kenya, advised the management team on internal communication processes, segmentation analysis, and customer acquisition. Heather is a well-traveled Small Business Consultant who equally works with entrepreneurs and contractors to develop sustainable strategies for startups in resource constrained environments. After a decade of working with government officials, aid works, and scrappy entrepreneurs, Heather understands the power of data to inspire change and create strong business models.

Heather holds an MBA from Babson College with a specialization in Business Analytics. In addition to certificate in social enterprise management and impact investing from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
